Attractions
Eugene T. Mahoney State Park offers year-round accommodations and recreational use. This ultra modern park offers a spectacular array of lodging, group meeting facilities and activities. Located near Ashland, just off of I-80 at exit 426, Mahoney nestles on 700 acres along the picturesque Platte River.
Near to the park there are several attractions. Nearby Attractions include Platte River State Park, the Strategic Air and Space Museum, Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park, Quarry Oaks Golf Club and Iron Horse Golf Club.
Campground Notes
Little Creek and Lakeside campgrounds offer spacious, hard surfaced pads, situated among mature shade trees near Owen Marina Lake. Modern shower/latrine buildings and drinking water are conveniently located in both areas. There is a coin-operated laundry in the shower building at Little Creek. Trailer dump stations and water are available near the park entrance.
Cabin Notes
Secluded on wooded ridge tops, the modern housekeeping cabins are available throughout the year. Linens, tableware and basic cookware are provided. Each cabin has air conditioning/heat, fireplace, TV, refrigerator, range, microwave, and outdoor deck and grill.
Lodge Rooms
The Peter Kiewit Lodge has 40 lodge rooms each with AC and heat, wireless Internet, telephone, TV and a private bath. Sixteen have sleeping lofts with electric fireplaces and all but 16 rooms have walkout decks that overlook the park or the Platte River.

Alerts and Important Information
Camping reservations may be made a minimum of three days in advance of arrival and a maximum of 180 days in advance of arrival.
CHECK IN AND OUT SCHEDULE- If you check out early, the unused portion of your payment will be forfeited.A Nebraska State Park Permit is required to enter this park area. A
Nebraska Licensed Vehicle Park Entry Permit is $35 for an Annual Permit, $17.50 for a Duplicate Annual Permit (used for that second vehicle in your family) or a Daily Permit which is $7 per day you are staying. A
Non-Nebraska Licensed Vehicle Park Entry Permit is $70, $35 for a Duplicate Annual Permit or a Daily Permit which is $14 per day. You may purchase your Park Permit prior to your stay by shopping online at
OutdoorNebraska.org.All vehicles entering a Nebraska Park Area are required to have a valid park entry permit.

Notes
The Peter Kiewit Lodge is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Camper registrations and park entry permits may be picked up at the John R. Lauritzen Administration Building during business hours; and at the Peter Kiewit Lodge after hours.
Cabin and Lodge Room guests please check in at the Peter Kiewit Lodge. Check-in is 4 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. Check-in prior to 4 o'clock is not allowed.
The swimming pool will have reduced hours beginning mid August (normal pool hours on weekends) and closed for the season the Tuesday after Labor Day.
Mahoney State Park horse trail rides will be on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and weekends after Labor Day through the end of September. Horse trail rides run through September (weather depending).
When a reservation is made one year to the date in advance, the arrival date must remain the same within that reservation. No cancellation of that arrival date is allowed.

E. T. Mahoney State Park is located between Omaha & Lincoln on Interstate I-80, Exit 426. Upon taking exit 426, turn North and go 1/2 mile on Hwy 66, entrance before Strategic Air & Space Museum.
If traveling from Ashland, from the east or west on Hwy 6 to Ashland, turn onto Hwy 66, go South 3 miles on Hwy 66, entrance after Strategic Air & Space Museum (before I-80).
